Mixing hydrogen peroxide and vinegar can create peracetic acid, also known as peroxyacetic acid (PAA) or corrosive acid. Peracetic acid can be toxic and corrosive, and can irritate your eyes, skin, throat, nose, and lungs. In high concentrations, it can also damage the surface it's applied to. The gasses from the reaction can also irritate your mouth and cause skin burns.

Hi everyone. How much water should I add to this solution? I rent a industrial machine, cuz my whole house is covered in carpet. I think that machine takes 5lt of water.

This clearly shows you shouldn’t believe the internet and just fork up for the solution. Peroxide and ginger makes acid= not good to breathe….

Good tip but I’d dump the dirty water in a toilet and flush rather than contaminate the area where I wash dishes.

My livingroom carpet had not been done for 10 years, due to the weight of the furniture. It's hard on the body moving it alone. I saw this and decided to move stuff around and get it done. While the carpet under the furniture was a lot cleaner, the whole room is now done. Looks great, and I love the fresh clean smell. Refreshing.

In all the written forums what I could find is that it is not recommended to add fabric softener to a wet carpet cleaner solution since it can demage the mechanism of the machine. It is cheaper but on the long run, if you have to replace a gasket or a seal or the pump itself, it can be a risky saving advice for others.

Dangerous gases will form when you mix hydrogen peroxide and vinegar. In the future when you get COPD, never smoked, never worked around dangerous chemicals and you wonder how in the world you got it, this is your answer. Always research before you mix chemicals based ingredients together! Nitro and glycerin are not harmless by themselves, but mixed together they create an explosive unstable chemical. They add sawdust to stabilize it and call it dynamite.

I got the perioxide, large dawn and fabric softner for $1.25 each, at the dollar store. cant get no cheaper than that for awesome carpet cleaner. Just cleaned my car seats. I thank those companies like Hoover, for being greedy. 🙏😊

I'm not a chemist, did took a few classes in college, correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't mixing hydrogen peroxide and acetic acid would result in a neutral solution? you know like water is neutral? Many cleaning videos show that ammonia, boron, peroxide, they all do a great job at cleaning, I believe the finish is what is neutral or slightly acid.
